The concept of “thinking skills": reference to the book by John Butterworth and Geoff Thwaites; thinking about thinking.

- The implications of thinking skills;

- The importance of thinking skills in the practice of his/her work by the law practitioner.

- A practical outlook at how thinking skills impact upon the performance of the law practitioner: examples of poor thinking skills and their consequences and of proper thinking skills and their results by reference to concrete case scenarios; reference,  in particular, to the application of thinking skills to one crucial aspect of legal reasoning: the determination of legal issues.

- How to improve one's thinking skills?

- Practical exercises/case studies.
