The Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies, a body corporate set up under the Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies Act 2011 and under the aegis of the Judiciary, is inviting applications from young law professionals in Mauritius for a period of one year at the Institute.

Candidates must hold a recognized law degree under the Law Practitioners Act and be computer literate and fluent in English and French. Candidates having the Bar or Masters and Doctorate Degrees will be given preference. A few years’ experience in the legal field will be an added advantage. A monthly salary of Rs25,525/- would be paid to the successful candidate.

Legal Researchers, in addition to fixed emoluments, will benefit from the intellectual discourses which take place at the IJLS through the medium of CPD courses as well as workshops on policy issues for professional development, taught by local and internationally renowned scholars and policy experts.
