The Mauritian Constitution provides for supremacy of the Constitution and confers original jurisdiction on the Supreme Court over constitutional questions. This presentation will address the following:

- What are the conditions for and limits to, judicial control of constitutionality?

- What are the remedies that the Courts can provide for breaches of the Constitution?

- Should the scope of judicial control be broader?
