Mr Hervé Duval, SC, founder and Managing Director of the Ahnee-Duval Law Firm. Ahnee-Duval, Law Firm incorporated in 2010. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2016 and he is currently the Chairman of the Mauritius Bar Association.

Mr Hervé Duval, SC reckons some 20 years of litigation experience at the Mauritian Bar at all levels, including the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and in all fields. His portfolio of clients for advisory and litigation work ranges from leading local employers, local Banks, Construction companies, Consultants and Hotel Groups to large foreign Consortiums. His particular expertise is corporate law and he has been involved in a number of commercial arbitration, both local and international.

In September 2014, Ahnee-Duval, Law Firm has been the first local legal firm to have signed a Memorandum of Mutual Corporation with the Overseas Liaison Department of China Law Society. Hervé Duval, SC completed the 1st Course of China-Africa Legal Professionals Exchange Project conducted by the Beijing Foreign Studies University under the aegis of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). He is a fellow researcher of the China-Africa

Legal Research Centre and has been appointed Consultant of the China-Africa Legal Training Base of the China Research Centre for Legal Diplomacy and of the FOCAC-Legal Forum.

Course description: This interactive session aims to explore a range of dilemmatic ethical scenarios from the perspective of each one of the three branches of the legal profession (Attorneys, Barristers, and Notaries) with a primary focus on contemporaneous issues. It is recommended that the participants have a copy of their respective Code of Ethics/ Code de déontologie for ease of reference.
